The Experience
What your day looks like
No prior flying experience is necessary to begin your first lesson at the Westchester County Airport in White Plains, New York. Your instructor will guide you through a ground instruction that covers helicopter controls, flying techniques and safety procedures. Afterwards, you will embark on a 30- or 60-minute flight (depending on the option chosen) with a Certified Flight Instructor. Once in the air, you will take control of the helicopter and witness breathtaking views of Westchester County, the New York/Connecticut coastline, and the Hudson River from a unique aerial perspective. Please note: lessons are not permitted in NYC airspace. You will be flying a R44 Raven II helicopter model, which is known for its superior safety, performance and comfort. If desired, you may pay an additional fee on the day of your lesson to bring up to 2 passengers with you to watch you fly (subject to weight limitations).

Restrictions
- Subject to favorable weather conditions and helicopter maintenance; if canceled due to these reasons, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund. - English proficiency is required for flight lessons. - Minimum age for student pilot is 14 years. - Maximum weight 250 lbs (113 kg) per person and 500 lbs (226 kg) combined in R44 helicopter. Maximum passenger height in R44 helicopter is 6 ft 3 in (192 cm). - Children 18 years and under must be accompanied by an adult or have parental consent. - Children under 2 years old fly at no cost if they can safely fit on parent's lap. - Routes are subject to change based on weather, air traffic control and temporary flight restrictions. - Wings Air Helicopters LLC assumes no liability for any services (ground transportation, photography, catering, hotel, etc.) arranged on client’s behalf with third parties. - Maximum restriction of 2 includes one student and one guest ride-along (add-on must be selected)
