New Orleans is a city steeped in death, both fair and foul. Estimates say that the dead outnumber the living in New Orleans 10 to 1. They say that iin the French Quarter where your adventure begins at least 5 people have passed away in every building that stands. Is it a wonder that you can just about find a ghost story on every corner and the International Paranormal Society lists New Orleans as the “Most Haunted City in the US”. Then that is where our officially licensed Master Storytellers step in to curate the spookiest, creepiest, and most informative haunted walk you have ever had. They are going to pick the most shocking and entertaining stories to leave you with goosebumps and chills up your spine as you make your way through the bloody ages that have defined this City of the Dead. All of our tours include a break at one of the most haunted bars in the city where you will have the opportunity to venture inside and if you are lucky get a picture of someone or something not of this world. You will also hear about our modern bloodsuckers, the Sanguinarians, real people who identify as Vampires and drink each other’s blood. You will be fascinated by the myths and legends that surround these creatures throughout the world. We don’t believe in Dracula and we aren’t going to try to convince you to either. Vampire’s may not really be what you see on TV in the Vampire Diaries or the Originals, True Blood, or even our beloved Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire. But you may be surprised to discover that every culture on earth shares these stories, and all legends are based on something, some truth, some event. So we ask you not so much, “are vampires really real?” but perhaps, “what really is a real vampire?” Of course no haunted tour of the French Quarter would be complete without a visit to the LaLaurie Mansion as made famous by American Horror Story Season 3 Coven. You will be shocked to learn that while the TV show may have taken some liberties they got the broad strokes right. She and her husband were walking, nightmares made flesh who delighted in the suffering of the enslaved and helpless. Her former home is a hotbed of paranormal activity and you will be terrified to hear some of the things that have been experienced in and around this haunted mansion. Fear not at the end of the tour we will not leave you abandoned and alone to try to wander your way through the occult darkness of these spectral streets. All of our Ghost and Vampires tours end near Jackson Square, the beating heart of the city and the location of the famous Cafe du Monde for a Beignet snack or St. Louis Cathedral if you instead feel the need for some holy water to wash away the spirits after your tour.
