Base Arrival: Access the expedition headquarters via a pre-arranged shuttle pick-up or by driving directly to the starting point near the park entrance. Administrative Check-in: Finalize the check-in process and verify that all safety waivers have been completed for a prompt departure. Technical Outfitting: Transition into specialized river gear. This includes dry suits or thick wetsuits and boots designed to maintain body heat in the river's glacial temperatures. Safety Briefing: Participate in a vital debriefing where guides explain river signals, bracing techniques, and the mechanical steps for navigating the upcoming rapids safely. Whitewater Navigation: Launch into the river for a thrilling downstream run. Navigate through the "wild" sections of the river, where heavy splashing and active paddling are expected. Action Photography: Professional cameras are stationed at key points along the riverbanks to capture high-action shots of your raft as it navigates the largest waves. Post-Rafting Transition: Return to the office for assistance in removing heavy river gear and transitioning back into dry clothing. Souvenirs & Media: Explore the gift shop to view your action photos or browse local Alaskan souvenirs before departing. What to know before booking

Included

For your comfort and safety, knowledgeable guides, rafts, and essential gear are provided. Dry suits keep you dry, with latex or neoprene gaskets at the neck and wrists, and latex socks to keep your feet dry. You will stay warm with your own insulating layers underneath. Neoprene booties are provided for added warmth. A helmet, paddle, and a Coast Guard-approved Type V life jacket are included. Latex-free suits are available upon request. Enjoy hassle-free shuttle service.

What to Bring

Cash for personal use Please make sure to bring warm layers for underneath the dry suit, as well as socks and beanies. The river temperature is around 35°F, so dressing warmly is essential for your comfort. Food and drinks are not provided, so please plan accordingly.
