Midtown Artisanal Bagel Baking Class
What your day looks like
Take part in a hands-on bagel-making workshop in the heart of New York City. Discover the art of crafting New York-style bagels and bring home your fresh creations. Follow step-by-step guidance from your instructors, from learning about the key ingredients to mastering the traditional rolling method, boiling, seeding, and baking your bagels. Hosted inside an operating bagel shop, you'll also take a behind-the-scenes tour of the shop, explore bagel production on a commercial level, and learn the bagel’s history and how it became a defining part of New York’s food culture. By the end of the workshop, you’ll enjoy your bagels fresh from the oven, accompanied by a variety of schmears and toppings. You’ll take home the bagels you’ve made yourself, along with the skills, knowledge, and a recipe to make them again.

This was a LOT of fun. The team running the event brought a great balance of laughter, history, and education on bagel making. And our bagels turned out great!
So much fun! The people running the class were super knowledgeable and really great. We were greeted with prosecco rimmed with everything bagel seasoning. Lol! And the drinks kept flowing from there. They also let you snack on bagels you made at the end of the class - and bring home the extras (I think I brought home 8 - and they are delicious!)

Such a fun way to spend an afternoon! Grab some friends, pour yourself a drink (they provide it!) and make some delicious bagels to take home with you. A unique experience for both NYC visitors and locals.
