What travelers are saying
I would give this a zero rating if I could. Where do I start? I had to contact The Mauka Warriors to confirm that we would be picked up. We were then told (after our ability to cancel) that they lost their liquor license. We were then told that we would get a refund for the loss of liquor but we had to get someone to intervene on our behalf to see those funds. I am sure we would have not seen a dime if it was left to Mauka Warriors. The Luau was less than a third full. The vibe was depressing! Everywhere we went they tried to get more money from us. There was a demonstration about a roasted pig and then we were told we would not be eating it. This leads me to the food ; it was horrible. The food was overly salted with carbs galore and overcooked chicken. The pulled pork was tasty though. Before the show we had our picture taken with some props. We were told that we would get the photos sent to us by the time the show was over. This was several weeks ago and still no photos! The show itself was not great.they went through different cultures as caricatures. It seems disrespectful to me. I am by no means a prude but their show was a disservice to the art of hula as the female dancers were all sexualized. It was definitely a show that catered to the fantasy of the audience. The fire show was well done and fun. On a more positive note, the customer service at Project Expedition was excellent and very much appreciated. I would not hesitate to book through them again!
I did not attend, but my clients loved it!
Great experience...
The show was actually very nice and entertaining, and the storyline excellent. Food and drinks were great as well. Due to transportation, we got there late and we did not had the opportunity to enjoy the before the show activities or pictures. Transportation must star picking up earlier to avoid this happening.
We had a fantastic experience at the Mauka Warriors Luau! The food was amazing and the history of the dances was explained in a very simple way to make it easy for younger kids to understand!
