Interisland roundtrip airfare from Lihue, Kauai to Honolulu on Oahu, roundtrip transportation from the Lihue Airport (LIH) to Pearl Harbor and lunch is included. Experience all of Pearl Harbor on this comprehensive WWII Heroes Adventure Tour. Visit the Arizona Memorial, Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and the Bowfin Submarine. Then cross the bridge to Ford Island to board the Battleship Missouri and walk the historic desks. Witness the battle scars in the hangars and award-winning exhibits at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. Lunch is included at the Aviation Museum’s Hangar Café. Tour Highlights: USS Arizona Memorial* located directly above the USS Arizona battleship that was sunk during the attack on December 7, 1941. The ship is the final resting place of many of the 1,177 officers and crewmen who were lost, and a powerful reminder of those who gave their lives for their country. USS Missouri Battleship where you’ll walk in the footprints of General Douglas MacArthur, Admiral Chester Nimitz, and officers of the Allied Powers in 1945 when the instruments of surrender were signed on the ship, signaling the end WWII. “Mighty Mo” fought in WWII, the Korean War and in Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf, supporting the cause of freedom. USS Bowfin Submarine, also known as the “Pearl Harbor Avenger”, played an epic role in the battles of the Pacific. You’ll walk through the remarkable vessel docked in the harbor. Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, located in two WWI hangars and retaining bullet holes from the December 7, 1941 attack, spans 105,000 square feet. An impressive array wartime aircraft is displayed including an authentic Japanese Zero, the type used in the attack. Pearl Harbor Visitor Center where you’ll view actual film footage the attack, view historic displays, and gain firsthand insight into WWII in the Pacific and beyond. You’ll see several galleries displaying artifacts, photos, and dramatic evidence of the surprise attack. NO BAG POLICY: The US Department of the Interior has declared a “no bags” policy at Pearl Harbor. Passengers may not carry any concealing items including purses, handbags, backpacks, diaper bags, etc. Small cameras are permitted but must not be in a bag. No items are allowed to be left on your tour vehicle. When going over to Ford Island to visit the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum and/or the Battleship Missouri, guests are required to carry government issued photo identification and NO BAGS are allowed on the vehicle. Ford Island is an active military base and guests may be asked by security personnel at any time for their identification to ensure a safe environment for all. It is recommended to bring on tour only vital items like your identification and wallet as long as these items fit in your pockets.

Restrictions

MUST have a passport or Government-issued photo identification to board flights. Due to increased security measures, the following are NOT ALLOWED inside Pearl Harbor, the Visitor’s Center, or any other attractions: All purses, handbags, backpacks, fanny packs, camera bags, diaper bags, luggage and/or any type of bag that can conceal an object are NOT permitted inside Pearl Harbor, the Visitor's Center, or to any of the attractions. Bags of any kind are not allowed on the vehicle when traveling to Ford Island to visit the Battleship Missouri or the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. Strollers are not permitted in the theater or shuttle boats. Cameras and camcorders are allowed provided they are not carried in a bag. The documentary film previously shown in the theatre prior to the boat launch is playing on loop in the open‐air area by the ticket booth at the Visitor Center.

Meeting & Pickup

5:00 AM – arrive on your own at Lihue Airport (LIH). The airlines change their flight schedules frequently and at the last minute so please ensure that you check flight status on your own. At the Honolulu Airport, check-in on your own at the airlines self-service kiosk or at the ticket counter for both flight segments to and from Hilo. Please follow the instructions on your confirmation for where to meet your tour driver at Honolulu Airport. Guest Responsibility: It is the guests' responsibility to arrange transportation to and from their original destination airport. Please note: There are no Polynesian Adventure team members inside the airport to assist with airline check-in. 6:15 PM – approximate return to Kauai from Oahu.

To meet aviation security requirements, guest’s name, birth date and gender is required when booking reservations. Names must exactly match the name and birth date on government-issued photo ID and/or passport for airline check-in. Passengers must clear TSA at the Honolulu Airport, so please bring a passport or valid government-issued photo ID.
