Restrictions

OUR FIRST PRIORITY IS THE SAFETY OF OUR PASSENGERS AND STAFF. THE FOLLOWING POLICIES ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY. WEIGHT & BALANCE: Our number one priority is the safety of the flight. We are required by FAA regulations to perform a weight and balance calculation. Each passenger will be privately weighed during check-in to ensure our aircraft’s weight and balance are accurate for your safety. All passengers will be weighed on a certified scale. The scale is very discreet, and the reading will not be visible to anyone except the staff checking passengers in. If a guest weighs significantly more than the weight provided at booking, they may be moved to a different flight. Refusal to move to another flight due to an inaccurate declared weight will result in forfeiture of the seat and loss of fare. If no alternative flight is available, there will be a 100% forfeiture of the seat and fare. Note: Passengers over 250 lbs will be charged for an additional comfort seat. For bookings of two persons traveling together who do not individually exceed 250 lbs but whose combined weight exceeds 420 lbs, an additional comfort seat will also be required. ARTICLES TO LEAVE AT YOUR HOTEL: There is no TSA stationed at the heliport, and there are restrictions on what passengers may bring on the flight. The only carry-on items permitted on the helicopter are cameras, cell phones, and sunglasses. (Note: Cell phones must be placed on airplane mode.) Passengers should leave all other personal items in their car or in one of the lockers we provide. PROHIBITED ITEMS: Bags (including camera bags and purses) Oxygen bottles iPads or tablets Selfie sticks or handles Binoculars Hats WEATHER: All tours may vary depending on weather conditions and are subject to FAA regulations. SCUBA DIVING: No scuba diving is permitted within 24 hours prior to the flight. POLICIES ON DENYING BOARDING FOR ILLNESS: Safari Helicopters reserves the right to refuse transportation to passengers with medical conditions that may worsen or have serious consequences during the flight. Passengers will be denied boarding if they appear to have symptoms of a communicable disease (or if there is reason to believe they were exposed to a communicable disease) or any other condition that could pose a direct threat to the health or safety of themselves or others on the flight. Passengers who board or attempt to board an aircraft while having an infectious disease or infection that poses a direct threat (as defined in 14 CFR § 382.3) to the health or safety of passengers and/or crew, and that cannot be eliminated by reasonable modifications of policies, practices, procedures, or by the provision of auxiliary aids or services, will be denied boarding.
