Detailed Itinerary
The journey, in full
Pickup for tours begins between 2:30am and 3:30am, depending on the time of year. Expect drop-off at your hotel or condo will be between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm. Please consult your confirmation email for exact times and pickup location within your hotel / condo complex. Confirmation calls will be made 24 hours prior to your tour. On our early morning journey, the pre-dawn darkness limits general visibility. Your tour includes the use of an iPad that includes our exclusive Haleakala National Park tours app pre-loaded for your enjoyment. The app is available in 9 languages and includes audio and visual information on the history, cultural significance, flora and fauna within Haleakala National Park. We also include a selection of children’s iPad games for their enjoyment. We then start our approximate 30-mile drive into Haleakala National Park and up to the summit. We arrive at the summit before sunrise where your guide will prep you for the amazing sunrise experience. Your guide will provide historical information about Haleakala National Park, teach you the traditional Hawaiian chant used to greet the sun, and include tips to stay safe to have a memorable sunrise experience. After sunrise at the summit, we journey back down the mountain to the Maui Tropical Plantation at Cafe O'Lei for a sit-down breakfast. Stops include (not limited to); Haleakala National Park Visitor Center, Haleakala National Park Summit, and Maui Tropical Plantation at Cafe O'Lei.

This tour is worth it!!! While you have to get up super early, our tour guide and driver, Bill, was very personable and knowledgeable. The pictures we captured were out of this world!!! If you are coming from a far time zone (we came from the East Coast), I’d highly recommend doing this tour on your first day before you are acclimated to the time change. Also, the plantation where you stop for breakfast is great. The food was tasty and the many different kinds of flowers they have are beautiful!!!

I used this company prior to the pandemic and it was much better! They no longer issue gloves, earmuffs, or wind-pants as part of the outfitting (coat only) and the driver did not make the additional stops that used to be part of the tour.
