Detailed Itinerary
The journey, in full
Central location pickup for tours begins between 2:30am and 3:30am, depending on the time of year. On our early morning journey, the pre-dawn darkness limits general visibility. Your tour includes the use of an iPad that includes our exclusive Haleakala National Park tours app pre-loaded for your enjoyment. The app is available in 9 languages and includes audio and visual information on the history, cultural significance, flora and fauna within Haleakala National Park. We also include a selection of children’s iPad games for their enjoyment. We then start our approximate 30-mile drive into Haleakala National Park and up to the summit. We arrive at the summit before sunrise where your guide will prep you for the amazing sunrise experience. Your guide will provide historical information about Haleakala National Park, teach you the traditional Hawaiian chant used to greet the sun, and include tips to stay safe to have a memorable sunrise experience. After sunrise at the summit, we journey back down the mountain to Cafe O'Lei restaurant at the Maui Plantation in Waikapu for breakfast. Stops include (not limited to); Haleakala National Park Visitor Center, Haleakala National Park Summit, and Cafe O'Lei restaurant

This was a fantastic tour. It was a bit of an early start, but the view and experience was definitely worth it. I highly recommend to do the sunrise tour. Also, Skyline did a great job and was very informative.

Stunning view of the stars before the beautiful sunrise! Up very early but worth every minute. Tour guide gave a history tour while driving which was helpful to understand more about Maui.

My husband and I had such a great time on this tour! Our guide, Bill, and everyone on the tour followed COVID procedures, so we felt safe the whole time. Our guide was also super knowledgeable about the Haleakala, Maui, the wildlife - everything! He even helped us get some amazing footage of the sunrise. The breakfast stop after the tour was also great. Highly recommend!
