What your day looks like

This 8-hour interpretive tour is designed for the wildlife aficionado and provides the most opportunity to search for and learn about elk, moose, bighorn sheep, coyotes, birds of prey, and possibly wolves. The full-day tour is an immersive, educational experience that offers increased flexibility to accommodate guest interests. Tours explore Grand Teton National Park, the National Elk Refuge, and surrounding national forest lands. Please note as of January 1, 2026, a mandatory $100 USD per non-US resident fee is required to enter the park. If needed, passengers can purchase these on the National Park Service's website prior to the date of the tour, or these can be purchased at the gate at the start of the tour.

The journey, in full

The day begins with an early morning drive through the spectacular Grand Teton National Park and Bridger-Teton National Forest. During the quiet, dawn hours your guide will take you to the best locations to view wildlife while they are most active. For lunch, you will enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic location in Grand Teton National Park. After lunch, you will continue your search for wildlife and enjoy a short walk in the summer or a snowshoe walk in the winter. Your guide will return you to your hotel in the afternoon, completing an exciting day of observing and learning about this magnificent ecosystem.

What to know before booking

What to Bring

Wear sturdy, close-toed shoes or boots (i.e. winter hiking boots/ snow boots), a warm winter coat, a warm hat that covers the ears, and warm gloves. Bring a camera, medications, sunglasses, and any other items of personal nature.

Restrictions

Starting January 1, 2026, the National Park Service (NPS) is implementing a $100 per-person fee for non-U.S. residents entering 11 major national parks, in addition to standard entrance fees, as part of a new "resident-focused" fee structure designed to prioritize U.S. taxpayers and fund park maintenance. This fee will only impact our international customers. The only exception is for those non-U.S. residents that have purchased the America the Beautiful (ATB) International Pass for $250, which grants annual access to all federal lands.

Meeting & Pickup

A complimentary pick-up at your hotel located in the town of Jackson or Teton Village or at the Home Ranch Parking lot (corner of N. Cache and E. Gill) near the town square in Jackson, WY. Pickup is not available for lodging arrangements in Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park or other points north of Jackson unless you are booking privately. If you are staying in one of those locations and wish to join a group expedition, your pick-up location will be the Home Ranch Parking Lot in Jackson.
