The Experience

What your day looks like

Experience the enchanting allure of New York City with Discover NY, your expert guide to the city’s top sights. Revel in the thrill of our award-winning New York bus tour, ranked among the USA’s top three sightseeing experiences and the top 10 % of things to do worldwide, as celebrated by TripAdvisor! Join us and savor the quintessential delights aboard our NYC sightseeing bus. Choose between our enclosed or glass-top NYC city tour bus for an unforgettable journey through the city that never sleeps! Meet your Guide and Begin your New York City Bus Tour Our half-day New York City bus tour departs daily at 9 AM and 10 AM on 7th Ave between 50th & 51st Streets (in the middle of the block) and ends at 3 PM and 4 PM at the same location. Please note that ending times might be later than listed due to NYC traffic conditions. Meet your driver and guide, and take a seat aboard your comfortable bus to begin. Central Park After a drive through the Times Square area, our first stop is at Central Park. The stop includes a short, guided walk into Central Park and a visit to Columbus Circle – one of NYC’s hottest neighborhoods and the official zero-mile point from which all official city distances are measured. We’ll also drive by the Shops at Columbus Circle at Deutsche Bank Center, the Museum of Arts and Design, and the famous Plaza Hotel. Rockefeller Center The second stop on our tour is Rockefeller Center, where beautiful views over St. Patrick’s Cathedral await. We’ll also see the location of the winter ice-skating rink and Christmas Tree, and NBC’s Today Show set. 5th Avenue and Empire State Building Views Our third stop is on Fifth Avenue, where we pause to admire the iconic Empire State Building. This area also provides spectacular views of dramatic architecture featured in numerous books and films, including the Flatiron Building (Godzilla, Spider-Man), the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower (The Runaway Skyscraper, Futurama), and of course the Empire State Building (King Kong, Independence Day). We drive by Madison Square Park – the original location of Madison Square Garden Arena, and our tour continues with a drive through iconic NYC neighborhoods such as Greenwich Village, Soho, Chinatown, and the Financial District. En route to the fourth stop, we drive by Wall Street for views of the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Hall (the location of the first Capitol Building of the United States), Trinity Church, and the famous Charging Bull sculpture on Broadway. World Trade Center and 9/11 Memorial Our fourth stop is the World Trade Center, where we visit the 9/11 Memorial. The tour does not include entry into the 9/11 Museum, but visitors can walk the grounds of the Memorial, visit the waterfalls of “Reflecting Absence,” (the footprints of where the original twin towers stood), and see the Survivor Tree that withstood the destruction of 9/11. Gansevoort Liberty Market Lunch Stop Around 1 pm, we’ll stop for a quick lunch break at Gansevoort Liberty Market – a great place to stop and pick up something tasty (please note that lunch is not included in the tour price). The Staten Island Ferry Ride Our fifth stop is the Whitehall Terminal in downtown Manhattan, for a boat ride on the Staten Island ferry. During your relaxing cruise, soak up magnificent views over the Statue of Liberty to the Manhattan and Brooklyn skyline beyond. The boat docks back at the Whitehall Terminal, where we board our bus to head back to our original departure point on 7th Avenue in the Times Square area. Our tour concludes at 3 PM and 4 PM, back where it began.

The tour delivers everything that was promised. It's a simple, quick tour that shows you iconic places in Manhattan. Good for those that have little time and want to see the most famous spots in NY.

a whirlwind tour of some of the "important things" in nyc. no tour could fully cover everything in a day. if the sites visited tick off some items on your bucket list, then i recommend it. we got off the bus for short walks around rockefeller center, central park, the 911 memorial (museum visit not included and there was no time to see it) and a nice boat ride to and from staten island with viewing of the statue of liberty, ellis island, governor's island and the city. (a visit to the statue was not included.) Anthony provided lots of history background and Manny did a great job negotiating the nyc traffic. Lunch was on our own and i would have preferred a different option than the "fast food" area which is touted as a market...not even a dessert/pastry shop available. this is basically a food court under one of the new wtc towers with a little mall attached. i would recommend it still, just be aware of some of the things i mentioned.

We had the best tour with Walter! Our driver was great as well. Walter was very knowledgeable. If you're looking for a great tour that takes you to all of the top places. This is it!! The company was also so kind to coordinate a pick up spot when my mom left her coat on the bus. Thank you so much!! We loved NYC!

I highly recommend this tour! Our guide Gil was great and super knowledgeable. It was so fun to hear from him all the history of New York City. He kept everyone organized and informed the whole time. We saw all the big tourist attractions and the ferry ride to Staten Island at the end had great views of the city and the Statue of Liberty.

I have been to New York several times, and this is the best tour I have ever taken. I had my granddaughter with me (her first time) and she thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Gil was fantastic!
