What travelers are saying
Joe is a gem. He kept everything interesting and entertaining.
Excellent tour of the city. Joe did an outstanding job; we especially appreciated his sense of humor and personal anecdotes! The only downside was the van itself - cramped and rode like a buckboard wagon!!
Great tour and guide!
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, but problems began as soon as our group of four ( out of six) were in the van. Our guide announced that the tour was five to six hours. We were in town for a family wedding and had specifically booked the trip advertised as a four hour/ half day city tour. I brought this up and was told there was no way to shorten, we could just not go. We had prepaid, no mention was made to accommodate a refund. We finally agreed to a five hour day with a return to our car by 3:00pm. At 2:30 it became clear this was a pipe dream when our guide announced an upcoming 30 minute stop so we could eat before two more places. When we asked if it would be inconvenient to drop us near our car we were told yes to just get out and Uber if we didn’t like it. The entire situation was confrontational, uncomfortable, embarrassing for the other couple and left us feeling we were either held hostage or to be abandoned in a city with which we were unfamiliar. Our guide played music quite well matched to events, but he insisted on playing it loudly and trying to narrate over the sound. We asked several times if it could be softer or off while narration was going on. This was also denied. I travel extensively and have never had a guide out of touch with needs of customers or the constraints of time.
