Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

This is the spot where Wild Bill was shot. Here you'll hear the story of how he was killed and how he ended up in Deadwood. We will stop outside of the front of the Bullock Hotel, the oldest standing in Deadwood, and hear the story of Seth Bullock and how he tamed this outlaw town. This is the brand of the saloon where Wild Bill was shot, and while it's not the original location, it's authentic and has the chair he was sitting in. You'll hear the stories of the outlaws that passed through deadwood. The tour stops outside of the Adams Museum and you'll learn the history of how it came to be and its founder. It's one of the best museums in town, and it's free, with a suggested donation. This was once the spot of the notorious Gem Theater, and you'll learn about all the bad things that went down here. The tour stops by city hall and you'll hear the story of how Jack McCall got off from shooting Wild Bill, and the story of how Two Sticks was hung, and the Lakota Native People that once lived here. We will stop outside the Adams house and hear about the founder of the Franklin Hotel, and see the "most beautiful house this side the Mississippi". The final resting place of many a Wild West outlaw including Wild Bill, Calamity Jane, Seth Bullock, and many more. You'll hear their story, learn about Jane, and if you want you'll have the option to enter the Cemetery and see their graves. Our final stop is at the Statue of Wild Bill. On the tour, you'll learn his life story and see historic pictures of him in the 1800's.
