We loved the tour! The carriage ride was very relaxing. We saw many beautiful historical homes and heard their stories. Recommend.

There was quite a change in the carriage rides in Charleston since I last visited and took one. First, there are 16 passengers per buggy as opposed to two to four in a true carriage and second, they no longer have a choice o routes. The driver has to be given a route number which is the only one the city lets him take, and it is luck of the draw. Unfortunately ours did not go through the lovelier sections, but mostly through commercial district. Because I expected the same charm as the firsts time I took the carriage tour yeas ago, I was very disappointed.

I would highly recommend Palmetto Carriage Works. Prior to the ride, the staff took the time to tell us about their horses and Charleston in general, they were very friendly and knowledgeable. You also have the opportunity to walk around the stalls. Jason, who took us out on the ride, was very informative. Overall, a very good excursion,
