What your day looks like
Begin your journey through Cuyahoga Valley National Park from either the north entrance near Cleveland or the south entrance near Akron. Starting from the north, your first stop is Tinkers Creek Gorge Scenic Overlook, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the gorge carved by centuries of flowing water. Next, visit Bridal Veil Falls for a scenic waterfall view, and take a side trip to the impressive Great Falls of Tinkers Creek. As you follow the Cuyahoga River, delve into the region's rich history, from early canal life to long-lost industries. Near Brecksville, admire views of Chippewa Creek Gorge and stop at the historic Station Road Bridge, a charming spot for photos of the Cuyahoga River. Continue to the Jaite Mill Historic District, offering a glimpse into the park's industrial past. Then, take a detour to the iconic Brandywine Falls, one of the highlights of this tour. Next, explore the historic Boston Mill area, where you might even hop aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. Don’t miss Szalay’s Farm, a popular roadside market known for its fresh produce and local charm. As you approach the tour’s end, look out for wildlife on the boardwalk through Beaver Marsh and enjoy the Great Blue Heron Viewing Area. For those traveling south, the tour concludes at the viewing area, while the northbound route guides you through the same stunning sights in reverse.
