What your day looks like
Join us on a tour to the famous Chena Hot Springs Resort, located 60 scenic miles from downtown Fairbanks. Soak in Chena Hot Springs Resort’s legendary healing mineral waters. Take a tour learning about the multi-faceted renewable energy projects which build up towards full self-sustainability of the resort. Be awestruck by the glorious sculptures in the Aurora Ice Museum – open year-round. We will then enjoy a guided tour through the Aurora Ice Museum which was built with over 1.000 tons of ice and snow and kept year-round at a temperature of 25F (-7C). You will have the opportunity to purchase an Appletini in a hand-carved ice glass (ID is required and not included in cost of tour). Chena Hot Springs Resort offers a wonderful restaurant to have some lunch (not included in price) and a gift shop where you may find locally made Alaskan Art.

Detailed Itinerary
The journey, in full
After being picked up, sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery as you are transported the 60 miles east to the Chena Hot Springs Resort. Keep an eye out for wildlife and you may even spot a fox, beaver or moose along the way. After arriving at the resort, start your day off with a tour of the Aurora Ice Museum, constructed out of over 1,000 tons of ice and snow. Marvel at ice sculptures by world-renowned carvers. If you're feeling adventurous, sample an Appletini in a hand-carved ice glass (not included in price and photo ID required). Soak in the pool of the Hot Springs, explore the many trails around the resort or take a tour of the greenhouse and geothermal energy plant. Lunch at the excellent restaurant is not to be missed where you can enjoy some Alaskan seafood or vegetables grown in the local greenhouse (optional and not included in price). Find some unique locally made Alaskan gifts in the Gift Shop.

Restrictions
The resort does not allow children under 18 or pregnant guests in the outside rock pool of the Hot Springs. Children can use the indoor pool and hot tubs under supervision.
