Wow! The tour we took with Dennis was phenomenal. 2 hours of fabulous history told in an engaging manner. He was super knowledgeable and it was obvious he has a love of history so there were tons of factoids that came along with a walk through the historic districts of Charleston. It was raining pretty steadily but not a one of us from this tour decided not to continue and I feel that was a testament to him. A walking tour is a great way to get the lay of the land so to speak and we learned so much of the ups and downs of Charleston along the way. He stopped in some of the places I had stopped in on earlier visits to the city but there were many I had not and for my two friends who were new to the city, it really was an outstanding experience. The walking end of it was not strenuous, even our friend that was recuperating from a fall was perfectly capable of doing the tour and there were some times there were options to sit down. If you want to get an engaging history of this beautiful city, I highly recommend taking this tour.
