Alaska Forest & Feast
What your day looks like
Discover Alaska through its forests, shoreline, stories, and flavors on this immersive nature and culinary experience. Your journey begins with breathtaking views of the Mendenhall Glacier and the surrounding mountains before heading into the heart of Southeast Alaska’s temperate rainforest. Along the trail, your guide will share the rich history of the land, including how Indigenous people have lived in harmony with these forests and waters for thousands of years. Learn about native plants, traditional harvesting practices, the healing benefits of the forest, and depending on the season, even sample wild blueberries along the way. As we walk beneath towering Sitka spruce and hemlock trees, you’ll be invited to slow down and experience Alaska through all your senses. Along the beach, surrounded by the sounds of waves and wildlife, you’ll take part in a gentle guided mindfulness meditation designed to help you reconnect with nature, presence, and yourself. After your time in the forest and by the sea, the experience concludes with a delicious meal prepared by a local chef featuring locally sourced salmon chowder, fresh seasonal salad, and ingredients inspired by Alaska’s coastal bounty. This is more than a tour. It’s an authentic Alaska experience that nourishes the mind, body, and spirit.
