Your day, step by step

Day 1

Seattle

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest! Arrive in Seattle and meet your guide by mid-morning for transfer to Olympic National Park. We’ll kick things off with a short afternoon hike along picturesque Hurricane Ridge for dramatic views of the Olympic Range.

Accommodation: In the evening, we’ll set up camp at Sol Duc Campground, get to know one another, and review our full adventure.

Day 2

Seattle

Boating at Lake Crescent. Lake Crescent: This morning, we’ll pack up and head to the stunning Lake Crescent for a serene morning paddle on its beautiful waters. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for birds overhead as you take in the dramatic landscape.

Eco Tour at Hoh Rainforest. Hoh Rainforest: After our kayaking adventure, we’ll drive to the Hoh Rainforest for a walk through the dense, lush forest.

Accommodation: Tonight, we’ll set up camp on Kalaloch Beach, one of the most beautiful spots on the entire peninsula.

Day 3

Seattle

Eco Tour at Olympic National Park. Kalaloch Beach: Today is blocked off for exploring the coast with a relaxing day ahead. After a leisurely morning, we’ll do a coastal hike to see the massive rock formations along the water, and visit the famous Tree of Life. We’ll learn all about the aquatic wildlife in this one-of-a-kind location where massive conifers grow right up to the water’s edge.

Day 4

Seattle

Eco Tour at Mount Rainier National Park. Mount Rainier: After packing up camp, we’ll make the drive off the peninsula and to Ashford, at the base of Tahoma (Mount Rainier). We’ll stop for lunch along the drive (not included) and will settle into our camp at White River, just inside the park’s entrance. Depending on timing, we may take an optional walk along the river and out to the foot of the vast Emmons Glacier.

Accommodation: Settle into our camp at White River. We’ll enjoy a hearty camp cooked dinner tonight.

Day 5

Seattle

Hiking at Mount Rainier. Yakima Park: Today is our most challenging hike; we’ll head up to the stunning Yakima Park (Sunrise) area. If the mountain is feeling generous, the views that we’ll see of the massive Tahoma are unparalleled throughout the day, sure to take your breath away. Even on overcast days, though, the park’s wildlife and rocky landscape are jaw dropping. We’ll cover about 8 miles with some challenging elevation as we hike into rugged alpine landscapes and back down through beautiful meadows.

Accommodation: After our day, we’ll have one final group meal back at camp – and a toast to our adventure!

Day 6

Seattle

City/Town Tour at Pike Place Market. Seattle: After a short morning walk, we’ll pack up camp and head back to Seattle to explore the city. Today’s activities may include a visit to Pike Place Market, the Chihuly sculpture garden, or one of the many Regional Tribal Cultural Centers.

Accommodation: Hotel accommodations are included, so you’ll enjoy a very well-deserved shower today! This evening, we’ll enjoy a final group dinner together (not included).

Meeting & Pickup

Please plan to arrive at SeaTac International Airport by 11:00 AM PST on Day 1. Your guide will pick you up shortly after arrival. Alternatively, your guide can collect you from your accommodation or another central point in Seattle (within 30 minutes of the airport) by 10:00 AM PST if you choose to arrive a day early.
