Our 3-hour walking tour covers every corner of Princeville Botanical Gardens. Your friendly guide will share stories of the gardens' development and a wealth of fascinating information about the plants. Seasonal fruit samples and homemade honey will keep your energy up as you explore our valleys. This tour includes a 1/2-hour chocolate tasting during which you'll learn about the cacao tree and how our family processes our own organic chocolate, while sampling delicious gourmet chocolates from around the world.

What to know before booking
Not Included
Our gardens are beautiful because they are on the steep hillsides of a river valley. You will be climbing a few steep hills and steps during the tour.
What to Bring
- Light, long-sleeve shirts, and pants or a sarong - Good walking shoes - Sun hat - Umbrella (we have if you don’t) - Mosquito repellant (we have if you don’t) - Water bottle (we have water to fill it) - Camera if you wish
Restrictions
All tours are 3-hour walking tours with breaks. Due to the length, we do not recommend them for children under 6 years. The only way to visit Princeville Botanical Gardens is by guided tours. A very basic level of fitness is required. While our tours proceed at a leisurely pace and the total distance isn’t more than a mile, the terrain includes grass, earth and gravel pathways and a few steep inclines.
Meeting & Pickup
Driving Directions: Address: 3840 Ahonui Place, Princeville, HI, 96722 Below you will find both directions from the South (Kilauea, Kapaa, Lihue, Poipu, etc.) and the North (Princeville proper, Hanalei, etc.). - Approaching from the North From the Princeville Shopping Center (Foodland) head South (towards the Airport) on the main highway. Travel about ½ mile and make your first available right onto Kapaka Road. Travel exactly 1 mile along Kapaka, and then make a left onto Ahonui Place. Please drive SLOWLY on Ahonui out of respect for the neighbors. After 3/10 mile our driveway is on the left: 3840 Ahonui Place. Pass through the open wooden gate and immediately turn to the left into our parking lot. Someone will greet you and show you where to park. If you miss our driveway and come to a dead-end roundabout you have gone too far! - Approaching from the South Head North on Kuhio Highway 56, towards Princeville. Between mile markers 27 and 28 there is a crossroad at the top of a hill: turn left on Kapaka Street. On the right is a large sign for The Church of the Pacific. Travel exactly 1 mile along Kapaka, and then make a left onto Ahonui Place. Please drive SLOWLY on Ahonui out of respect for the neighbors. After 3/10 mile our driveway is on the left: 3840 Ahonui Place. Pass through the open wooden gate and immediately turn to the left into our parking lot. Someone will greet you and show you where to park. If you miss our driveway and come to a dead-end roundabout you have gone too far!
