What your day looks like
Day 1: Start your adventure with a visit to Alcatraz Island, once home to one of the world’s most notorious prisons. Catch the ferry from Fisherman’s Wharf and explore at your own pace with the multilingual audio tour. Wander through the eerie cells, learn about escape attempts, and discover the island’s history as a fort, penitentiary, and site of Native American occupation—all while enjoying sweeping views of the San Francisco skyline and Golden Gate Bridge. Day 2: Hit the streets with a full-day e-bike rental and design your own sightseeing route. Cruise across the Golden Gate Bridge, snap photos at Baker Beach, grab coffee in North Beach, or sample tacos in the Mission. With the e-bike helping you conquer the city’s hills, you’re free to explore neighborhoods, murals, parks, and historic districts at your own pace. After your ride, return to San Francisco by bike, or opt for a ferry back (ticket not included). In high season, a Sausalito bike drop-off is also available for an additional fee. Please note, that the date you select when booking will be the date you will visit Alcatraz. Once confirmed, your Alcatraz tour date can not be changed. Your bike rental will be auto-booked for the day after, but can easily be redeemed any time during your stay in San Francisco instead!

Detailed Itinerary
The journey, in full
Day 1: Alcatraz Island Total time: ~2–3 hours (plus ferry time) Begin your trip with a visit to the iconic Alcatraz Island. Catch the ferry from Fisherman’s Wharf and enjoy the multilingual, self-guided audio tour as you walk through the historic cell blocks. Learn about famous escape attempts, the island’s military and penitentiary past, and the era of Native American occupation. Take some time to wander the grounds and take in panoramic views of downtown San Francisco, Alcatraz Cove, and the Golden Gate Bridge before returning on your scheduled ferry. Day 2: Full-Day E-Bike Adventure Total time: Up to a full day - your pace, your route. Pick up your full-day e-bike rental, where you’ll receive: Suggested routes and orientation A proper e-bike fitting. A high quality e-bike equipped with a handlebar bag, bike lock, and takeaway map and helmet. Once you're set, head out on your self-guided ride. We recommend following the scenic waterfront bike path, traveling through: -Aquatic Park -Fort Mason -Marina District -Presidio -Crissy Field -Fort Point -Continue across the Golden Gate Bridge using its wide, dedicated bike path. From there, you can ride to Vista Point and Old Fort Baker, enjoying spectacular views of the bay. Most riders choose one of two options: -Ride the bridge and return the same way -Continue to Sausalito and take a ferry back to San Francisco (ferry ticket not included; availability varies) With your e-bike, hills are easy and you’ll have the freedom to stop anywhere that catches your eye, whether it’s a viewpoint, café, or tucked-away waterfront spot.

What to Bring
Due to National Park restrictions, Alcatraz reservations cannot be moved or rescheduled after booking Please contact the activity provider if you would like to reschedule your Ebike rental day The date you choose for booking is when you will visit Alcatraz. Your Ebike rental will take place the next day unless requested for another day. For example, if your desired Alcatraz date is July 1, your ebike rental will be on July 2 The Cellhouse audio tour is available in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish Credit card deposit may be required at the start of the bike rental

Meeting & Pickup
This is a two-day package. On each day you report to a different location. FOR ALCATRAZ: Please arrive at Pier 33, Alcatraz Landing, at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure date and time. FOR EBIKE RENTAL: Please go to 501 Bay Street to redeem your bike.
