What your day looks like

Kidepo Valley National Park is located in the remote of the extreme north-eastern part of Uganda, sharing border Southern Sudan in the North and Kenya in the East. Kidepo Valley is recorded as one of the best parks in Africa because of its magnificent and untouched wilderness, The Park is home to the big herds of cape Buffaloes, African giant Elephants, and other appreciative numbers of wildlife. Being the fact that the park is in the remote this makes it an African touch cultural destination you should look out for. A flying Safari opportunity is available to easily access the Park within 2 hours time.

Your day, step by step

Day 1

Entebbe

Welcome to Uganda! Our safari guide meets you up for the briefing about this adventure at 7:00 am and transfer to Entebbe International Airport or Kajansi airstrip for your departing flight to Kidepo Valley national park. Enjoy the scenic views of the true African wilderness from the skies shortly before landing at Apoka airfield. Your assigned safari Guide will be at the airfield to welcome you and lead you to your private reserved accommodation. Have some relaxation as you enjoy the panoramic views of the wilderness from the comfort of your hotel room.

Wildlife Safari at Kidepo Valley National Park. Game Drive After lunch, set off for an evening game drive into the Park, towards the Narus Valley that is taken to be the hub of the animals being a water source. Anticipate finding African Elephants, high scores of cape Buffaloes, Jackson’s Hartebeests, and many other antelope species. Retire towards the lodge.

Day 2

Wildlife Safari at Kidepo Valley National Park. Game drive Kick start your adventurous day with an early game drive into the Park, this is the collect timing for the lookout for the cats’ species like the Lions, leopards, cheetahs, Jackals, Hyenas, serval cats, civet, and genet cats. A lot more wildlife species are sighted during this game drive not missing out on the Ostriches which are unique to this park only and several other birds species. From there drive to Kanangorok hot springs for more wildlife and scenic adventures. Drive back to the lodge to relax.

Cultural Immersion. People of this land Later in evening hours set out for a tour of the local communities of the Karamojong or Ik people for the untold cultural experience about their lifestyles and rich cultural norms. Retire to the lodge.

Day 3

Hiking at Kidepo Valley National Park. Hike up Set out for another rich cultural breathtaking experience around the Kidepo valley national park, hike the Morungole Mountains, and visiting the unique Ik people.

Cultural Immersion. Away from Technology This activity is physically challenging though this can easily go away once you get to meet the Ik people, enjoy the cultural performances, learn more about their lifestyle, take pictures as much as you can and if possible donate something. Descend back to the lodge.

Day 4

Take Flight Checkout of the lodge and transfer to the Apoka airfield for your return trip to Entebbe.
