Kusadasi: Ephesus & Turkish Bath Tour

What your day looks like

We extend a warm welcome to Kusadasi, a beautiful seaside resort located on Turkey’s Aegean Sea coast. We are delighted to have you with us today and hope that you enjoy the cultural and historical richness that Kusadasi has to offer. This tour takes you to the Ancient City of Ephesus. There, you will enjoy a guided downhill walk through the ruins of this former Roman capital. Your path will take you past notable sites such as the Bouleuterion, the Temple of Domitian, Hercules Gate, the Temple of Hadrian, the Celsus Library, and the Great Theater. After exploring Ephesus, you’ll visit a traditional Turkish Bath. At the entrance, you’ll receive tokens and instructions. You’ll undress, wrap in a peştamal (cotton body wrap), and secure your belongings in a locker. In the sıcaklık (hot area), you’ll perspire on a heated marble platform or by the basins. Your attendant will provide an exfoliating scrub and bubble wash. You can then relax on the platform or wash at the basins. Towels will be provided to dry off, and you can relax in the cooler area, possibly enjoying a drink. Lastly, you’ll explore local culture through traditional handmade carpet and rug weaving in the Teaching Village, and admire Ephesus ceramics.
