What your day looks like
Host Bio: Pea lives with her son, Jah, in a beautiful traditional teak home surrounded by lush gardens in Chiang Mai. She began cooking at the age of 12, helping her mother shop at the local market each morning. As the first daughter and fourth child in the family, Pea learned early how to choose the freshest ingredients and how quality and seasonality shape the flavor of every dish. Her creativity in the kitchen is legendary—she can even get her sons to enjoy bitter gourd, a vegetable most children avoid! “In our family, as soon as we finish one meal, we’re already thinking about the menu for the next. Cooking is a big part of my life. I love being in the kitchen.”

Do not miss this experience if you are looking for a cooking class in Chiang Mai! Communication well ahead of our scheduled class was very much appreciated! Hotel pick up by Pea’s son was fantastic! This experience is unique because it’s in Pea’s beautiful home just about 20 minutes from the city center! Pea is a gem and her passion for cooking and teaching others about Thai cooking was evident. We got to see her impressive garden and then got to cook four dishes! It truly was a unique and rewarding experience. Even my teenage daughters enjoyed it!
