What your day looks like

Mountain sea can be with great pleasure, so the so-called Nurek reservoir, formed in 1972. Indeed, among the mountain ranges in the South of Tajikistan, noticing the huge area of the water surface, it is impossible not to compare it with the sea, especially the mountains. The surface area is 98 km2, water volume is 10.5 km3, length — 70 km, width is 1 km, the Average depth of the lake is 107 m. The reservoir Level is in the range of 53 m. The reservoir is used for shipping. Discharge of water through the tunnel made in the rock with a length of 5 km. The mountain sea is filled with clear, mirror-fresh water, the source of which is the icy mountains of the Pamir range. The reservoir was formed at an altitude of 885 meters above sea level under the Nurek dam. Currently, one of the most powerful hydroelectric power plants in Central Asia, the dam, which is listed in the Guinness World Records as the highest bulk dam in the world. The height of the Nurek hydroelectric dam is 304 meters.
