Dushanbe is home to the highest flag in the world, which has been included in the Guinness Book of Records! With a population of over a million, Dushanbe is a bustling metropolis. Modern Dushanbe is a city where you can experience the vibrant energy of the East, and at the same time, it is the cultural, economic, and political centre of the country. The city boasts a monument to the founder of the Tajik state, Ismail Somoni, and a statue of the poet Rudaki, the founder of Tajik-Persian classical poetry.
