What your day looks like
There are three branches of the Great Silk Road along Tajikistan: 1) North / Sogdian stretches between Samarkand (Uzbekistan) and Kashgar (China); 2) West–East / Karotegin stretches between Termez (Uzbekistan) and Kashgar (China); 3) South / Pamir stretches between Termez (Uzbekistan) and Tashkent (China). These ancient routes were formed by the Persian, Greek, Chinese and Arab peoples, who made a huge contribution to the socio–economic relations — trade and culture of the whole world between the V – XII centuries. In order to learn more about the contribution of this way to the culture and civilization of the Tajik people, there will be presented a tour package “Great Silk Road in Tajikistan”

Local Flavor at Hisor Fortress Town (Tajikistan). Welcome to Tajikistan! Fortress and Museum of Hisor – Teahouse "Kharbuza" Museum of Mirzo Tursunzod From Dushanbe International airport our driver with a car will pick up you than you will drive to Hissar Fortress used to be a palace of one of Bukhara Emirate becks. The fortress with 1 m walls and loopholes for guns and cannons towered on a high hill's slope and was carefully guarded. Inside there was a pool and a garden. Across from the fortress there was a noisy market square with a caravanserai and a variety of shops. Hissar Fortress and the town had been settled from VI BC to mid of XIX. It was the main administrative, political and economical centre of Hissar valley. Teahouse Kharbuza — is unique in the world, it was built in the form of a melon (the Taj: - kharbuza). The teahouse, with a height of 43 meters, length 100 meters, width of 55 meters, is designed to receive 2.3 thousand visitors at a time. Return to Dushanbe / hotel

City/Town Tour at Dushanbe Flagpole. Dushanbe city tour Palace of the Nation – state Flag square – national Museum – Rudaki Park – Dusti square – Ismoil Somoni Memorial complex – national Library – state Emblem square –observation deck Dushanbe –Plaza Monument of Ismoili Somoni — who is the founder of the first Tajik state. To the right of the monument is the Rudaki Park—the most beautiful and green park of the city, where you can breathe a fresh mountain air, enjoy the variety of trees, read books in the open air, as well exercise or just have a walk with friends. To the left of the monument is the National library — the largest library in the Central Asia. The area of the library occupies 45 thousand square meters, the width of the building is 52 meters, and the length is 167 meters. The flagpole was confirmed as the world's tallest by the Guinness Book of Records, but was soon overtaken by the 165 m Dushanbe Flagpole in Tajikistan. Tajikistan's national museum is housed in an impressive modern building with an elliptical roof and giant atrium. The collection encompasses three main sections – natural history, archaeology and contemporary fine arts – and displays include minerals (including a giant mineral tree), dioramas of snow leopards and Marco Polo sheep, suits of amour and musical instruments. Deeper inside Dushanbe Park "Navruzgoh" – Kohi Navruz – Mausoleum of Mavlono Yaqubi Charkhi – Park IRAM (Botanical garden) – Park Aini – Amusement Park "Khayyam" Complex "Kohi Navruz" - Initially buiding "Kohi Navruz" (Palace of Nowruz) was planned as a teahouse, but during the construction become into a palace. "Kohi Navruz" has - 12 unusual halls, each of which is made in a special style. The complex has an art room, a banquet hall, a lounge room with carved stone trim, plaster room decorated with mirrors, two VIP rooms. The height of the main building - 46 meters, and the area of "Kohi Navruz" with 12 rooms, surrounding pavilions, fountains and the trestle beds – is about three hectares. Botanical Garden is located in Ismail Somoni district in Dushanbe and exits to the west side on the edge of the river bank –Dushanbinka. In the botanical garden are collected samples of trees and bushes from almost all corners of the world, many of which are already included in the Red Book of Nature. Botanical Garden is one of the places of rest of citizens and place for educational tourism. Sadriddin Ayni Park is located on the high and spacious terrace where the mountain river Varzob bursts into the city, foamingly leaving the steep ravines of the Varzob canyon. Sightseeing. Road to Rogun & ObiGarm, Roghun. Roghun is a town in Tajikistan. It is the administrative capital of Roghun district in the central part of the Region of Republican Subordination. Obi Garm resort is located just over 95 km away from Dushanbe. The sanatorium is classified as “balneoclimatic”. Local attractions are healing springs of mineral waters. Here you can take healing baths and showers. Healing water steam for therapeutic purposes comes to the surface from the ground. In the past, the city and the regional center of Karotegin, the Bekian Mountain, which is part of the Bukhara khanate, was on the Great Silk Road. There was a large Bazaar in the city. Navobod is a town and jamoat in Tajikistan. It is located in Garm District in Districts of Republican Subordination province. Rasht District or Nohiyai Rasht formerly called Gharm District, is an eastern district in the Region of Republican Subordination in Tajikistan. It lies between Vahdat district on the and Jirgatol district on the east; its southern neighbors are Nurobod, Tavildara, and Tojikobod districts; its northern border runs along the eastern finger of Sughd Province and along the international border with Kyrgyzstan. Local Flavor. Vahdat Museum "Kuhari Ajam" – mountain town “Vahdat” Romit State Nature Reserve, created in 1959, 70km to the east of Dushanbe. The reserve's mountain slopes, thickly forested with birch, mulberry, wild fruit and nut trees, are home to more than 100 species of birds and, in their upper reaches, there are alpine meadows with a gorgeous carpet of springtime bulbs. It is largely an unspoilt valley with woodland, thermal springs, mountain streams and a good variety of birds and animals. Romit Gorge is located in Vahdat. This Gorge not far from Tajikistan has become doubly famous. First the indescribable beauty of the mountain river amidst the mountains, picturesque Greens, and the possibility to take a walk, sit there, and there have been recent fighting. The feeling that there is not one near this quiet place only the sound of water and birds, mountains, fresh air. pure water. From Kafirnihan the road goes north through a broad fertile valley with peasant plots taking over from the abandoned factories, market gardens and trout farms. Sightseeing. From Vahdat to Dushanbe Central town of Vahdat – sanatorium “Tundikul” Vahdat – one the largest region of Tajikistan and the administrative center of the city of Vahdat is located 20 km. east of the capital city (Dushanbe). Vahdat formed on September 17, 1927 as the Yangi-Bazarsky area and is one of the developed and prosperous regions of Tajikistan where you can successfully enter the business, including in the areas of agriculture, trade, construction and processing of fruits and vegetables, animal husbandry, and so on. Reserve is reached by taking the main road east to Vahdat (Kafirnihan), a small post-industrial town. Tundikul— health resort at an altitude of 1500 meters above sea level. Healing spring, which is formed in the lower gorges in the river, it attracted the attention of the masses of people for the purpose of treatment and restoration of health.
