What travelers are saying
Kevin was a great tour leader. Packed itinerary was enjoyed by all.
This was a fun tour, and a convenient way to see these sights. The guide was great about showing us all the rock formations (the whale, sandal, mushroom, etc.) in Yehliu. He took some of us to Taiwan's first movie theatre, which was in Jiufen and was pretty neat. He also told us all kinds of facts and interesting info, in both English and Japanese. Shifen Waterfall was nice, though very, very little Niagara-like. I liked Shifen, too -- it's great for food and souvenirs. Though it's nice to see what people write on their lanterns, I (and a few others) did not want to participate, due to environmental concerns. The guide seemed to be offended that we were not participating in this cultural experience. We watched, we appreciated, we weren't rude or disrespectful; we just didn't want to do it ourselves. This activity should be understood as optional. But overall, had a great time.
