Admire the picturesque scenery as we drive along Lake Zurich, Obersee and Walensee, accompanied by green hills and beautiful valleys. Then cross the border to Vaduz. It is the capital of the smallest country in Europe Liechtenstein. Here you will find the historical emblem of the city – hilltop Vaduz Castle. It was constructed in the twelfth century and underwent a restoration in the twentieth. Nowadays, the castle still appears to be the residence of Liechtenstein’s Princely family. In Vaduz, one can also visit the famous Post Museum. This museum displays stamps issued over the last hundred years. Next, you will continue the way to Western Austria – Bregenz. It is hugging the shores of Lake Constance. Highlighted places to visit in Bregenz include several medieval churches, Lake Promenade, and Martins Tower. This is a preserved Baroque tower built in the fourteenth century. It offers a great panoramic view of the town. The lovers of art can spend their time at the famous Kunsthaus Kub. It is presenting exhibitions of contemporary art from all over the world. Afterward, travel to the main sightseeing location in Southern Germany – Lindau. It is a lovely Iceland, well known for its vividly colored medieval houses and beautifully decorated gardens. It is also famous for the spectacular view at the border between Switzerland and Germany. While visiting Lindau, one can spend the time by gazing at the old Mangturm Tower dating back to the 13th century. Another option is the Lindau Lighthouse (Neuer Leuchtturm), built in the 19th century. Wander around the historic town center and admire the dramatic views across Lake Constance. Then you can enjoy traditional German lunch at the regional cafe and rest for a while. Get ready for the next destination - the fascinating Meersburg or Burg on the lake. Do not miss the opportunity of discovering the Old Castle (Meersburg Schloss). This castle has been used as a summer residence between 1268 and 1803 for the bishops of Konstanz. From here you will drive through the bridge over the Lake Bodensee to Constance City. Then you will reach the final stop. Stein am Rhein in Switzerland is a charming town full of life. Stroll around the lovely city under the evening lights. Take a look at the best preserved old complexes – Monastery of St. Georgen, and the Hohenklingen Castle. You are free to have dinner at one of the local restaurants. After the long but exciting day, you will return to the starting point in Zurich.
