Stockholm Syndrome Private Walking Tour
What your day looks like
Are you ready to get emotionally captivated? There is a bank robbery, and you are being kidnapped. Your perpetrator? Stockholm with your private guide, and they are about to show you some of the best the city offers. Welcome to a few hours of exploring the "Capital of Scandinavia" (don't tell the Danes or Norwegians we said that), Stockholm Syndrome style. Hop between the mainland and islands for an excellent overview of the old and new city sights. Starting at Norrmalmstorg in the middle of the city centre, we'll pass sites like the Royal Dramatic Theatre, Kungsträdgården park, and the Grand Hotel as we make our way to Riddarholmen, The Island of Nobility. Riddarholmen is home to one of the oldest buildings in the city, the Riddarholmen Church. From there, it's back over a bridge (there will be many of these) and down the narrow, cobblestone lanes of the heart of the city, Stockholm's Old Town. We'll cover everything from the historic Royal Palace, the colourful main square Stortorget, and Stockholm's narrowest alley. Halfway through our Stockholm love story, we'll indulge in a traditional Swedish Fika. Never heard of it? Once you have tried it, you'll want to bring this one home to all your friends and colleagues! To finish off, we'll visit the trendy hipster island of Södermalm, "The Southern Island". Here we'll find second-hand shops, lively bars, restaurants and fantastic city views. We guarantee that you will have fallen in love with your captor by the end of the tour, Stockholm, that is, and what you are feeling is known as Stockholm Syndrome.

What to Bring
Part of this tour takes place in areas where you will have to walk on cobblestones. We suggest wearing comfortable shoes. Depending on the weather (sometimes it's cold in Sweden), how far you feel like walking (it may be a vacation or work outing after all), and your interests (did someone say royalty?!). There is the possibility of not walking the full distance; just ask your guide, they don't bite. Sweden is a country with four seasons. Please dress accordingly.
