Stockholm Old Town Private Walking Tour
What your day looks like
Travel back to the days when Stockholm was what we today call "The Old Town." Merchants selling goods from their shops or on squares, horse hooves clanking on the cobbled streets, and the shouting of "Look up!" as the toilet contents flew out the window. Stockholm's Gamla stan, or the Old Town as it's said in English, is filled, even today, with traces from medieval times, and we want to give you an exclusive viewing of it all. On our private walking tour of Stockholm's Old Town, we'll trace in the footsteps of the city's original location while hearing exciting stories of this postcard-perfect area of the town. By Stockholm's Royal Palace, learn about the Swedish Royal Family and the former gym owner who became a prince. Around the corner awaits the main square, Stortorget, where tales of horrible times will be unveiled. Meandering your way through alleyways, we'll pass the narrowest alley in Stockholm, the most famous statues, and even taste some delicious hand-made candy (yum!). Before we finish, we'll visit a second island, Riddarholmen (The Island of Nobility), where noble palaces and one of the oldest buildings in Stockholm, the Riddarholmen Church, surrounds the square dedicated to the founder of the city. The island of Riddarholmen is one of our favourites, offering an impeccable view of Stockholm's lakeside waterfront. It'll give you goosebumps or empty the remaining space on your camera! And there you have it, our Stockholm Old Town Private Walking Tour, the perfect introduction to the city and an excellent start for continuing sightseeing on your own.
