What your day looks like
Stockholm is lovingly known as “The Venice of the North” due to it being situated over 14 islands and linked by 57 bridges, so exploring by kayak is a great way to see the city! Our Kayak Dock is located in the heart of the city, just 400m from our Adventure Café, so we start our tour in a prime location! All our kayak guides are local, qualified and experienced, so they will take time to run through the basics and some safety information with you before you set off on your adventure. You will enjoy a leisurely sightseeing paddle that will allow you a fabulous vantage point as you look in on the city from your kayak. You’ll feel the pulse of the city from a very different perspective as you paddle through this vibrant city. The guide will offer you some insights into local history, culture, and lifestyle that your expert guide will share with you. You should be able to swim to join this tour.

What to Bring
Please Bring Sun Cream, Sunglasses, Hats, Warm Waterproof Clothes, and Spare Dry Clothes, Thin Shorts/Swimming Suits and Towels. Our day tours have an easy tempo to suit all abilities. Many persons who paddle with us have no previous experience, and the techniques are easy to learn. We carry all our food and drinking water with us in the kayaks. There are no toilets on the islands we visit and there are no toilets on our kayak dock, the meeting point for your tour, but you are welcome to come to our main location (Kungsbro Strand 21) during our office hours to use the toilet.
Restrictions
All guests should be able to swim to join this tour. Guests are expected to paddle in double kayaks unless the guide decides otherwise. You need to have basic mobility and be able to squat to be able to get in and out of the kayak on your own. The guide will be there holding the kayak for you. The tour will take place in all weathers unless the guide believes it to be unsafe. All youths must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Meeting & Pickup
Please meet at our dock, located on on Klara sjö just before Barnhusbron (the closest street address is Pipersgatan 45, from that address you should walk down to the water and to your left).
