The Experience

What your day looks like

Discover the untouched beauty of St. Lucia’s rainforest on a guided hike along the scenic Jacquot Trail. Named after the island’s iconic Amazona Versicolor parrot, this immersive nature experience takes you deep into the Castries Waterworks Forest Reserve—home to towering chatannier trees, fragrant gommier, giant ferns, and remarkable strangler ficus. Led by an expert Nature Interpreter, you’ll explore ravines, cross gentle creeks, and learn about the island’s rich biodiversity and the traditional uses of forest plants for food, medicine, and materials. Keep an eye out for the trail’s colorful namesake and other endemic bird species as you ascend gradually into the mature Caribbean Oceanic forest. Perfect for nature lovers and hikers seeking an authentic rainforest experience, this tour blends education, scenery, and serenity within one of St. Lucia’s most pristine natural environments.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Jacquot Trail!! Della was an absolute GEM - very knowledgeable, friendly & attentive!! There were a lot of steps, the trail is quite strenuous at times - but Della also was attentive to know when we needed to stop. Della is the BEST!!

It was very pretty but we felt that the marketing wasn’t correct. When we arrived for the hike we were told that it would be too difficult and we had to just do the tram ride . Our kids did the zip line and they liked that but the tram ride was sort of a waste of time and money. Our guide was very nice though
