Immerse yourself in the local flavors of St. Lucia on this guided tour to the open-air Castries Central Market and renowned St. Lucia Distillers. Breathe in the smells of fresh Caribbean produce and spices, and then travel into the lush Roseau Valley for a tasting of the island's famous rum. Following convenient pickup from your hotel, you're taken to the 125-year-old Castries Central Market, a site named one of the Best Food Markets in the World by National Geographic. As your guide leads you through the bustling space, learn about the important ingredients used in St. Lucia's Caribbean-creole cuisine, such as breadfruit, bananas, hot sauce, cinnamon, and star anise. From here, you take a scenic drive to Morne Fortuné, a historic summit offering sweeping views of rolling mountains and pristine Grande Cul DeSac Bay. Continue on into the oasis of Roseau Valley, home to verdant banana plantations and the island's award-winning St. Lucia Distillers. Upon arrival, you're introduced to the "Rum Ambassador" and then led inside the facility to get a closer look at their distilling process.
