Traditional Spanish Cooking Class with a Grandmother in Madrid
What your day looks like
Host Bio: Ariadna, also known as Ari has been hosting cooking classes with her grandmother, Antonia, in their family home since 2019. After studying translation abroad, Ari returned to Madrid to join her grandmother, the most-loving expert cook in the family, to host travelers who are curious to learn about Spanish cuisine and culture. They are excited to welcome new people to their beautiful city and share all about the history, culture, and lifestyle. Join this warm welcoming class and learn new dishes. When we asked Ari why she would like to be a Traveling Spoon host, this is what she had to say, “To me, food is a perfect way of reuniting, celebrating, and bringing joy to other people, that's why it's one of my biggest passions.”

What travelers are saying
They were great hosts and we had a wonderful time!
Fabulous. The grandmother is the sweetest, as is the granddaughter who translated and shared stories with us. It was a fabulous, authentic experience, and the paella and soup were amazing!
This was thus HIGHLIGHT of our trip (we visited madrid, sevilla, toledo, and barcelona. I could not recommend Ari and her abuelita. They were so welcoming and the food was fantastic. I will cherish this memory forever.
