Both guides at Robben Island were excellent. They were honest about the history of apartheid - its origins, evils, the struggles to overturn it, and parallels to what’s happening today in many countries. The former prisoner shared his story and how hope and forgiveness saved his life. Highly recommend. Unfortunately, rain and clouds prevented taking the cable car up Table Mountain, but the guide pivoted and we went to the botanic garden instead, which was gorgeous. Very pleased with this tour!
