Detailed Itinerary
The journey, in full
Join us on a journey through Singapore from past to present. Enjoy dinner in a Hawker Centre and a tea ceremony. You start your journey with the founding of Modern Singapore by Sir Stamford Raffles, visiting historic colonial buildings to learn about the early pioneers who came to Singapore. You will board a bumboat and cruise down the river through to the present day. Visit Merlion Park and soak in the sunset view of Marina Bay whilst learning about the mega construction project behind it. Discuss the political reform by Mr Lee Kuan Yew and discover how Singapore went from third-world to first-world in one generation. Feast on Singapore’s most iconic dish; Chicken Rice at the famous Maxwell Hawker Centre. Your guide will teach you Hawker Centre etiquette and point out all of the must-try foods in Singapore. After dinner, retreat to a beautiful teahouse for a traditional tea tasting experience. Try the Imperial tea that Queen Elizabeth II was served in the very same teahouse.

Comfortable shoes Lightweight clothing that will dry easily if we get caught in a shower You are advised to bring at least one liter of water with you to stay hydrated
Restrictions
This tour requires you to be able to walk 9km at a slow casual pace. If you tire easily we can cut down walking by taking the occasional taxi ride (payable at your own cost).
Meeting & Pickup
If you booked 4.5 hours meeting point is outside City Hall MRT Station. Directions, maps, and pictures for the meeting point are sent upon booking. If you choose and pay for pickup, we do offer hotel pick-ups from all hotels in Singapore If you book 5 hours we will be picking you up from your hotel lobby

Our guide, Su Ling, was fantastic. We felt like we really had a handle on the city and understood the city itself, the history, and the makeup of the people after our tour. She introduced us to Durian ice cream, lime water, and the chicken and rice as well as the local experience at Maxwell. I would highly recommend the tour! I am hoping that she emails us the pictures that she took of us throughout our time together!
