Akagera national park was named after River Kagera which flows along with the Rwanda and Tanzania border feeding into Ihema and other small lakes. Akagera National Park has a wide range of biodiversity including landscapes, vegetation, and animals, the savannah landscape of acacia, open grasslands and woodland, bushes and shrubs, lakes, and swamps. Enjoy stunning game drives for wildlife species such as Buffaloes, Elephants, Giraffes, Leopards, Antelopes, Hyenas, lions, rhinos, alongside a sizeable population of bird species amounting to over 500 species like the Caruthers’s Cisticola African Openbill stock, Grey Crowned Crane and many more. Visit Nyungwe forest located in the south-eastern part of Rwanda. It is one of the oldest and largest montane forests in central Africa occupying an area of about 950 square kilometers. Nyungwe National Park serves as an important biodiversity site with over 13 primates, 300 species of birds, 200 species of trees, butterflies.
