What your day looks like
Enjoy a small-group full-day tour from Bucharest to Transylvania, traveling through the spectacular Carpathian Mountains to discover two of Romania’s most beautiful castles. Meet your guide and fellow travelers around 08:00 am at the selected meeting point in central Bucharest, then depart north toward the Carpathian Mountains and Transylvania. The first stop is Sinaia, a charming mountain resort, where you will visit Peles Royal Castle, the former summer residence of the Romanian Royal Family. The journey continues with a scenic drive through the Carpathian Mountains to Brasov, one of Transylvania’s best-preserved medieval cities. In Brasov, you will stop at the Council Square and enjoy a short walking tour of the Old Town. Learn about the history of the Saxons in Transylvania, admire the impressive medieval architecture, see the Black Church (viewed from outside), and discover Rope Street, one of the narrowest streets in Europe. Later in the day, you will travel to Bran, where you will visit Bran Medieval Castle, famously known as Dracula’s Castle, before heading back to Bucharest.

We had an overall enjoyable day with a great group of fellow travelers. We saw everything we had hoped to see. Although, we had a small issue on the drop off. The driver tried to drop us off across a 6 lane road of traffic from our hotel at 10:00pm. When he saw that I was not happy, he had us get back in the car and he did take us to our hotel. Hence, 4 stars instead of 5.
