The Mini Boat Snorkel Adventure begins on the docks of the "blue-flag" Marina Puerto Chico in the town of Fajardo, where your Mini Boat Snorkel guides await you. Here, each "Captain" and crew will receive complete pre-ride instructions and safety orientation before boarding their fully equipped Mini Boats. The fun begins as we clear the breakwater of the Marina, heading North along the tropical coastline of "Las Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve”. Along the way enjoy the views of the impressive Conquistador Hotel, the towering “Yunque" Rainforest in the background, and Fajardo's 130-year-old Spanish lighthouse. After an exhilarating 30-minute cruise, we arrive at our first destination, the uninhabited white sand Cay of Icacos. The dazzling cay is part of a small group of islands forming “La Cordillera Cays Nature Reserve”, and its crystal clear waters are simply incomparable! Your Guides will gather the mini boat convoy on a mooring close to the shallow reef, and jump in the water with you to explore the beautiful underwater grounds. Swim among different schools of tropical fish such as snappers, blue tangs, sergeant majors, parrotfish and much more! Your guide will interpret the reef ecosystem for you and will teach loads of cool and interesting facts. After the 45 minute snorkel, hop back on your Mini Boat, enjoy some snacks and refreshments from your personal iced cooler, and take in all the amazing scenery. We will set course again along the Island chain speeding up our mini boats and experiencing all the mesmerizing shades of blue, impressive rocky formations, the reserves fauna and fascinating historical sights. After our additional time navigating, we stop at one of the reserve's white sand beaches for simple fun in the sun, laid back interpretation and some time to relax or explore the beautiful beach. Concluding our time, we put the pedal to the metal on our speedy mini boats as we made our way back to home port, on one last fun filled ride!
