What your day looks like

Discover the most iconic landmarks of Sintra and the Lisbon Coast on this private 7-hour experience, combining palaces, historic villages, dramatic cliffs, and seaside scenery. Your day begins in Sintra, where you’ll explore the heart of this UNESCO-listed cultural landscape. You will see and learn about its most important monuments, including Pena Palace, the Moorish Castle, the National Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, Seteais Palace, and Monserrate Palace, along with time to enjoy Sintra’s charming old town. You will visit up to two monuments during the tour (chosen on the day depending on your preference and time). - If you choose to visit the interior of Pena Palace, it will be the only monument to visit, due to long lines and timing restrictions. The tour will be Pena Palace (romantic park of Pena, terraces of the palace and inside of the palace), Sintra old town, Cabo da Roca, Boca do Inferno and Cascais town. - If you choose to visit the Pena Palace Park and terraces instead, you may visit a second monument, such as Quinta da Regaleira or the Sintra National Palace. The tour will be Park of Pena Palace (romantic park of Pena, Terraces of the palace), Sintra old town, Second monument, Cabo da Roca, Boca do Inferno and Cascais town. After Sintra, continue through the vineyards of Colares, one of Portugal’s oldest wine regions, before reaching Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. Enjoy spectacular Atlantic views before driving the Cascais coastal road, passing Guincho Beach and stopping at Boca do Inferno. Before finishing your day a stop in the elegant seaside town of Cascais, where you can enjoy its marina, historic center, and relaxed atmosphere. With a private vehicle, experienced local guide, flexible pacing, and hotel pickup and drop-off, this tour offers a comfortable and personalized way to experience the best of Sintra and the Portuguese coast. We were supposed to see the Pena Palace but could not due to wild fires. Not all was lost. We had a great tour of the National Palace in Sintra (ended up being one of my favorite of all time) and we walked around the town, which had some really cute shops. The beach tour and other stops were also interesting. Our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge and a safe driver. Great day.

Good tour. Didn't love where we were taken for lunch. Since we were headed to locations near water, I thought our lunch spot would be at one of them. But our guide was cheerful and also knowledgable. Just wish we could have spent more time in Cascais. SIntra was extremely crowded.

Great tour with a wonderful tour guide. Our tour guide Antinio even made us a reservation at a great restaurant with a spectacular view of the ocean. He was very knowledgeable, and friendly. He even sent us recommendations for our next few days in Porto and for our stop in the Algarve later that week. Highly recommend!

This was a great tour. It was rainy so we didn't get to see as much of the coast but still a great tour.

Amazing tour by project expedition. I actually shared your company with a guest we met at the castle in Sintra. Our tour guide Luis Lobo well educated and e planned all of Portugal’s culture with us. Stopping at all the most beautiful beaches, views to take photos, walk around while getting a historic background. Stopping at shops for wool sweaters, then dropping us off at a local restaurant for an authentic fantastic lunch. Luis even shared his WiFi hot spot with us. Be prepared for a full day we are a good walking show and don’t forget your sunglasses. The day was amazing. I would highly recommend it. We did a one on one tour so it was only the two of us and the driver you pay a little extra but that’s the way we like to go :)

Louis was AMAZING The tour was spectacular! So much history was learned, Our tour guide loves his culture and it showed. Cascais was such a quiet, beautiful town I wish I stayed 2 days in that area. Sintra is a must castle to visit photos do not do it justice a must visit if you are in Lisbon. Made another visit to a good bakery to eat nada ????
