Fall in love with the wonderful views that the different viewpoints ("miradouros") offer you. This is a land of wine producers, so it's time to visit a renowned Wine Estate to understand the whole technological process of winemaking. Only the exquisite quality of grapes combined with the perfect climate of the region can originate a genuine character to this so special wine! What remains to be said? Let's dive into a tasting experience: try some of the best Port wines. Although it is a region known mainly for its delicious wines, we can not forget its singular gastronomy. The strong flavors and fresh ingredients are two visible features of the region. This private tour includes a traditional lunch in a typical restaurant in the region. Indulge in Portuguese gastronomy and delight yourself! After lunch, expect an hour-long panoramic Douro river cruise, in the village of Pinhão. Our favorite tour was the Douro Valley wine tour. It was so beautiful in that area and the wines we tasted were amazing. The lunch that we had at the Quinta De Santa Julia winery was delicious. Our driver was wonderful too and great at giving a history of the area.

Fred was a wonderful tour guide. His knowledge of the valley was exceptional. He is clearly passionate about his job, his home country and making sure you have an unforgettable experience. Most importantly his selection of Quinta Santa Julia was amazing. We had an amazing tour guide at the winery, Mariana. She and Fred made sure that our lunch was safe for our food allergic son making this an even better and more special experience. Highly recommend taking the time to visit the valley (UNESCO world heritage site) with Fred and stopping at Quinta Santa Julia.
