Salt Mine Tour from Krakow with Private Transfer
What your day looks like
The historic Salt Mine in Wieliczka, placed on Unesco heritage list, is the only site in the world where mining has functioned continuously since the Middle Ages. Its original excavations such as longitudinals, traverses, chambers, lakes and minor and major shafts lie on nine levels and stretch for the total of about 300 kilometers. Reaching the depth of 327 meters they illustrate all the stages of mining technology development over time. St. Anthony’s Chapel and St. Kinga’s Chapel are the most impressive places of the Mine, fully decorated with salt.
