Mujica Gallo's Private Collection Museum
What your day looks like
Come see the fascinating history behind Peru's gold artifacts and ancient weaponry. This tour includes a visit to the private, internationally renowned gold collection of Mujica Gallo. Gallo spent his lifetime contributing to the recovery of Peru's historical heritage, focusing mainly on cultures from the country's north. He established the Peruvian Gold Museum Foundation where thousands of precious metal artifacts, including gold, silver, and brass pieces from Mochica, Chimu, and Inca cultures are on display. Among its most precious treasures are nose pieces, pots and utensils used for religious purposes, and some mummies. The museum also showcases the pottery and clothing used by Peru's ancient peoples.
