The sloth sanctuary monkey island is the most complete eco-tour in the Soberania National Park. It is a very unique, educational and discovery type of experience. There is an abundance of wildlife, monkeys, birds, crocodiles, toucans, Iguanas among animals and an amazing green scenery. Together with our tour guide, start this half-day nature adventure from Panama City to the Gamboa rainforest public marina, board a small embarkation on the Chagres River to sail to the Gatun Lake of the Panama Canal in discovery of the different species of monkeys in their natural habitat. Later, head to the Sloth Sanctuary and learn way more about the sloth and have a first-hand experience and have your questions answered, right after, visit the exhibitions of butterflies, orchid nursery, and teeny tiny, dotted frogs. Later, it is time to have lunch in a Panamanian restaurant (Fonda-serving local food). Last, trek through the jungle, by exploring the 2kms of Gamboa rainforest pipeline road, there you get to be surprised by many other wildlife, learn about different amazing palm trees and other types. In this journey, you get to experience the jungle while on a small embarkation and later you get to take a trail in the actual jungle for a way more complete safari and wildlife tour package.
