What your day looks like

To be called Pana means you are a true and trustworthy friend, which is the name Panamanians give to their closest person. Experience Panama as a Pana Folks is to live through these group tours as a real local, not a typical tourist. This is centered on the culture, history, and nature exploration. You will be able to merge with the locals, embed in their culture and way of living. At the end of Upbeat Journeys and Fascinating Experiences, you will become a Pana Folks. Another fascinating fact is that you will be able to experience the Atlantic and Pacific oceans in under 2 hours. A+ rated accommodations near Panama City and the Panama Canal, in a 5-star Golf resort with all the most important amenities. There are two different types of rooms available: single and double beds. Regularly, accommodations are rooms with two beds and a private bath or shower. A limited number of single room types are available.

Your day, step by step

Day 1

Panama City

Welcome to Panama! On the first day, we will be ready at the International Tocumen Airport to meet and greet you at the same time welcoming you to Panama. Transportation will be available from the airport to your accommodation, the Summit Rainforest Golf and Resort, at an estimated 45 minutes from the Tocumen International Airport. Our staff will be willing and ready to assist you during the check-in process, helping with translation where ever it is needed. 1 Envelop with the full program description will be provided per room. Later at 8 p.m. you are invited to join dinner and the opportunity to meet the fellow Pana Folks as your travel companions and break the ice.

Day 2

Colon

Eco Tour at Embera Village. Explore the Embera Village Panama has many indigenous tribes all over its territory, visit the Embera tribe, together with your tour guide, start this day trip from Panama City to Colon, Puerto Corotu within the Chagres National Park. Board a traditional canoe, sail up Lake Alajuela then hike through the jungle to the waterfall to swim depending on the lake level. This Panama indigenous tribe tour is a must-do to immerse in Panama’s culture, visit the Parara Puru community the first established embera village, learn about their culture, arts, dance rituals, visit their school and museum. Later, dance to the rhythm of their traditional instruments and if you choose to, you could bring gifts for the kids, get a non-permanent embera tattoo and buy their hand-crafted souvenirs.

Panama canal Locks On the way back to the city step over at the Miraflores Locks visitor center of the Panama Canal in to discover the world 8th wonder, learn about its engineering and construction, see vessels transit through the locks chambers, watch a short movie narrated by the legendary actor Morgan Freeman about the importance of the Canal.

Day 3

Casco Viejo

City/Town Tour at Panamá Viejo. Panama City highlights Together with your tour guide, start this Panama City historical site by driving through the modern city to the First Spanish settlement on the pacific coast (Panama Viejo), visit its ruins and museum, then drive to the Panama Canal Administration building to learn about the construction of the Canal, the Martyr Avenue, discover mi Pueblito with its great history. Later visit the Smith Sonian nature center on the Amador Causeway to discover and learn about the different species and marine’s life hosted in that facility, then drive to the Panama Sign on the Flamenco Island for great family pictures. Top this experience with a short bike tour on the Amador Causeway. Next, head to the second colonial city, Casco Viejo, which is one of Panama’s World Heritage sites, one of the most visited old towns to learn more about its history.

Day 4

Portobelo

Snorkeling. Snorkeling and Kayak in Portobelo This Portobelo beach day snorkeling tour, is a city break for real adventures seeker. Day 6

Cristobal

Sightseeing at Portobelo Ruins. San Lorenzo Castillo Portobelo ruins and the Panama Canal expansion Before there was the water bridge, thus the Panama Canal, there was first, the Dry canal, which was used for the transfer of gold, silver, and spices from and outside of Panama to Spain. With your tour guide on this full-day excursion; learn in depth about the glorious days of Panama, the strategic alliances that were made. La Chorrera

This is an exciting experience for the palette and at the same time very educational, as you get to learn a lot about the farming processes and methods. The cultivation of different organic exotic fruits such as dragon fruit, bananas, mangoes, star fruit, sugar cane, geisha coffee, passion fruit, lemongrass, guava, varieties of lemons, bread fruit, tangerines, papayas, corn and also yucca, turmeric, annatto, among others. Then, you will be taken to a viewpoint with beautiful views of pineapple fields and mountains.

Colon

Eco Tour at Chagres River. Panama City

Eco Tour at Campana National Park. Eco-experience in Camapana and Anton Valley the old crater El Valle de Anton early origin is unknown to most people, the town is located in the crater. Together with your tour guide, start this Anton Valley day tour from Panama City, a must-do experience for all ages. A more in-depth experience that covers the essence of the destination. Drive through other towns and up the mountains with breath taking views, stop by the Campana national park for a great view over the pacific and a great spot for pictures, then proceed to Anton Valley. Visit the recently built Frank Gehry Museum, then the Butterfly haven to garner knowledge, then visit the Nispero zoo. Then take a short hike to El Macho waterfall. They say good things come to an end, and we say it does not have to be, all this is a farewell we will still be connected through those unforgettable memories and moments, and without the shadow of a doubt one of the best if not best Upbeat Journeys of your life. On this day we shake hands one last time and say our see you soon type of good-bye and be ready for your airport departure transfer. Our staff will be available early at the hotel lobby to assist with the checkout and making sure your luggage are loaded on the bus and ready for your transfer based on our departure transfers stated in this program.
