Day 1

Transportation. Welcome to this trip! You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon arrival you will be met by our friendly & efficient AFAQ Travel & Tourism chauffeur who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you to the your hotel.

Swimming at Bimmah Sinkhole. Bimmah Sinkhole: You will depart from Muscat to travel south towards the Quriyat Region. After travelling just a few kilometers you will find yourselves absorbed in an almost lunar world where unreal mountains dominate the view. You will continue to the mountainous landscape arriving at the dramatic Bimmah Sinkhole. Once you are refreshed

Boating. Fishing boat ride: Upon arrival at Wadi Shab you will transfer to a small fishing boat to be taken across the wadi to enable you to start your journey.

Leisure at Wadi Ash Shab. Wadi Ash Shab: You will walk through the amazing canyon, until you arrive at the wadi which leads to the Keyhole. Here you can relax; take a dip in the pools. You will have the opportunity to swim through a pool of crystal clear water and dive through a narrow keyhole, inside you will find a magnificent cave, complete with an incredible waterfall.

Our next stop for lunch at a restaurant to try the local cuisine Post will travel to the traditional city of 'Sur' and check in hotel. You will have time to relax at the hotel. Dinner will be served at 7:30 before a drive to Ras Al Jinz to see the turtles at around 9:00 pm. whilst we are very successful in sighting turtles, there is no guarantees as it is a natural phenomenon.

Swimming at Wadi Bani Khalid. Wadi Bani Khalid: Your first stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the typical date palms.

Sightseeing. Visit the Post: Your next visit the Post this, we will start ascending journey to Jebel Akhdar Mountains. This mountain offers discovery and adventure. We will experience and witness nature’s primordial beauty seen in the soaring peeks and plunging canyon along with the rise of terraces on extremely steep mountain slopes. There is a trek that goes from one village to another through the terraces and along the falaj system. There is a splendid view of the hanging terraces.

Local Flavor at Misfat Al Abriyeen. Misfat Al Abriyeen: Your Next stop will be, Misfat Al Abriyeen, set in a stunning landscape above terraced plantations of date palms. This is a rare sight in Oman as most palms are grown on the plains. The ancient houses and ruined watchtower perched on the mountain complete the scene.

Sightseeing at Jebel Shams. Jebel Shams: Continue your journey to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak at 3009 meters. The cooler temperatures will surprise as you reach the top to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”.

Sightseeing at Wadi Bani Awf. Wadi bani: You will depart your hotel and proceed towards, Wadi Bani Awf taking a stunning and exhilarating trip over the mountains. Deep in Oman’s countryside are many villages that still retain their traditional charm. Perhaps the most appealing of these is Bilad Sayt, a tranquil hamlet tucked away in the mountains.

Sightseeing at Nakhal Fort. Nakhal Fort: Drive along the Nakhal Fort. This 17th Century Fort has some stunning views from the battlements. It highlights the prime position this fort used to command and is really worth the climb. After an impressive cultural day it will time to travel start heading towards Muscat.
