A brilliant first place to hop off is the Fram Museum, which is dedicated to the history of Norwegian polar exploration. The museum is centred around the Fram, the ship which Amundsen used when he led the first successful expedition to the South Pole. Hop off at the Ibsen Museum, to learn about another great Norwegian, the 19th-century Norwegian playwright, theatre director, and poet Henrik Ibsen. The museum is actually housed in Ibsen’s last home before his death in 1906.
