The Experience

What your day looks like

There’s so much to see in Oslo, and with City Sightseeing, you’ll be able to discover it all. The hop-on hop-off tour has stops all around the city so you can choose the best places for you to hop off and exactly where you want to go. Book your 24 hour ticket today and get ready to start exploring. Oslo is an amazing city that combines history, culture and modernity, so hop on with us and we’ll show you all there is to see. A brilliant first place to hop off is the Fram Museum, which is dedicated to the history of Norwegian polar exploration. The museum is centred around the Fram, the ship which Amundsen used when he led the first successful expedition to the South Pole. Hop off at the Ibsen Museum, to learn about another great Norwegian, the 19th-century Norwegian playwright, theatre director, and poet Henrik Ibsen. The museum is actually housed in Ibsen’s last home before his death in 1906. Another place you can’t miss is the splendid Royal Palace, which was first built for the king Charles III John (who was also the king of Sweden and actually a Frenchman of relatively humble and definitely not royal birth). It’s still the official residence of the Norwegian royal family today. The next place we think you should definitely hop off is Akershus Slott (Akershus Fortress), a 13th-century medieval fort which overlooks the beautiful Oslofjord, and which is still in use today, currently as the Office of the Norwegian Prime Minister. Hop back off again at the Vigeland Sculpture Park, a 52-acre park full of fantastic sculptures. Last but not least, we recommend Aker Brygge, a former industrial area, which is now a great place for shopping, dining and generally having a good time. They’re just a few of the places you can see and go on our hop-on hop-off route, so choose the 24-hour ticket and start planning your trip to Oslo. 48 hours
