What your day looks like
Today you will enjoy a fully guided tour of Christchurch City together with the very best of the city attractions. The Christchurch Tram, Punting on the Avon River, and the Christchurch Gondola. Your day will start with a city highlights tour of the central city of Christchurch which was completely devastated by the Christchurch earthquakes in February 2011. Your guide will explain both the history of the city and the effects of the earthquake, you will see for yourself both the destructive powers of nature, the surviving landmarks, and the rebuild which is taking place.

Meeting & Pickup
On arriving at the port in Lyttelton please make your way to one of the waiting shuttles that will transport you into the Lyttelton Township which is approximately a 5 minute drive. The shuttles will be waiting on the opposite side of the dock from where the cruise ships own prebooked coaches are loading. There will be people on the wharf to direct you. Ask for the Lyttelton Shuttle. Please note you must take a shuttle as you are unable to walk out of the port due to this being a restricted area. Your excursion will be departing 45 minutes after your cruise ship has berthed. Do Not take a shuttle into Christchurch City as your excursion is departing from Lyttelton. The city shuttle you need to pay for whilst the Lyttelton Shuttle is free - If you are asked to pay you will know you are on the wrong shuttle. On your arrival into the Lyttelton township, please exit the shuttle at the first stop our representative will be waiting there with signage Leisure Tours Cruise Excursions and will direct you to the various waiting tour vehicles. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back into port at least one hour prior to the ships scheduled departure time.
