What your day looks like
You’ve probably heard about one of the world’s most famous painters, Vincent Van Gogh. But what do you actually know about this Dutch artist? We’ll introduce you to the man behind the famous sunflowers and self-portraits on this intimate, small group tour. Learn about him through his iconic paintings of people eating potatoes and of his own bedroom, or maybe his “Wheatfield with Crows” or “Yellow House.” We will visit the world’s largest collection of Van Gogh’s works and personal effects to learn about his turbulent life stretching from his days in Holland to his dramatic ending in France. And yes, don’t worry, we’ll discuss that whole ear incident.

Itinerary generally include (subject to artworks being on display): Self-Portraits Explore an incredible collection of Van Gogh’s introspective self-portraits, chronicling his artistic and emotional evolution. Through bold colors and raw brushstrokes, these works reveal his inner struggles and search for identity. Sunflowers Stand before one of Van Gogh’s most iconic masterpieces, where vibrant yellows and thick, dynamic brushstrokes capture the energy and warmth of his time in Arles. The Bedroom Step into Van Gogh’s world with The Bedroom, a tranquil yet emotionally charged depiction of his living space in Arles, famous for its distorted perspective and innovative color choices. The Potato Eaters Considered Van Gogh’s first masterpiece, this dark, raw depiction of peasants sharing a meal contrasts sharply with his later vibrant works, highlighting his artistic evolution. Van Gogh’s Letters Gain intimate insights into Van Gogh’s thoughts, passions, and struggles through his deeply personal letters to his brother Theo.
